Choose a safe and clinically tested weight loss program.

Dr. Dan Anderson a modesto chiropractor  offers the following tips for healthy  2-5 pound weekly weight loss.

Dr. Anderson states : One of the most important things to do when starting any weight loss program is to consult first with you medical doctor, chiropractor, naturopath etc. Make sure you have all those people on board with you when you begin.

Review any prescription medications with you family doctor. Talk to your pharmacist. Be proactive. Know any warning signs that may occur after you change your diet. I find that patients on prescription medications have to alter them. Once you begin to drop weight your hypertension will often decrease and patient will often say they are lightheaded and weaker. If you are on medications and dieting and notice any physical changes, tell your doctor immediately so your bloodwork can be evaluated.

Choose a program that is safe and has been researched. I use a program in my office that has been researched and evaluated for safety and efficacy. Our program is safe to use for overweight and obese adults, children and adolescents (8-15 years old), Obese adults with Type 2 diabetes and Obese adults taking appetite suppressant medications.

Make sure if you are dieting now that  you hypdrate. A good rule to remembe is take the weight you are now. Lets say you weigh 120 lbs. Drink at least 50% of this in  ounces of water. So you would drink 60 ounces of water a day.

Start eating more frequent meal. Try eating at least 6 times per day. Cut your meal sizes down and balance your calories properly between protein and carbohydrates.

Wow my patient David lost over 40 pounds in 15 weeks

Modesto Chiropractor opens new weight loss clinic and has some very intresting information that just might be able to help you take shape fot the 2010 summer.  If you would like to loose 2 - 5 pounds per week,  keep reading.....

Dr. Dan Anderson has been a chiropractor in modesto for an outstanding 18 years, while being in the bussiness for nearly 26 years. He has successfully treated thousands of patients of all ethnicitys, backrounds, and ages.

Dr. Anderson quotes, " There is a crisis in America, Just about 67% of adults 20+ years old are overweight or obese. There is also a 17% chance that children 2-19 years old may become obese, while an unheard of 18.2% are alredy suffering from obesity and health risks."

Some of the main causes for being overweight can be as simple as the wrong eating habits, and can be as complex as health medications or diabetic conditions. While the most common cause of obesity comes from an imbalance between the amount of calorie intake, and energy expenditures. For example, If you eat a meal at night and go to bed directly after, your energy expenditure is next to nothing in a dormant state. So with all the calorie intake and no energy being used, your body stores the calories insted of burning them up. Thus causing you to gain weight.

Being overweight or obese not only affects how you live today, but how you might live in the future. Being overweight can cause not only coronary heart disease, it can cause certain cancers, strokes, diabetes, and atherosclerosis.

There is a brighter side to the story though. Weight reduction can help prevent and in some cases completely eliminate health hazards. For example just losing a mere 10% of your body weight can reduce obesity-related diseases such as high blood pressure and type 2 diabetes mellitus. While losing weight is important and essential to living a healthy life, the most important fact is to learn how to take the weight off and keep it off.
